Part 1: Interrupted Actions (When/While)

A long action (Continuous) is interrupted by a short action (Simple). Example: I was reading when the lights went out.

Part 2: Parallel Actions

Two long actions happening at the same time. Both use Past Continuous. Example: I was cooking while he was cleaning.

Part 3: Questions about the Past

Ask about specific times (Continuous) or completed events (Simple).

Part 4: Mixed & Tricky Contexts

Pay attention to state verbs (want, know), sequences of events, and annoying habits.
