I saw your advertisement in yesterday's 

Evening Standard. I think I am qualified

for this job and I would like to apply.

 

I am currently studying at the Hotel 

School to become a receptionist. I have

passed GCSEs in 9 subjects and I speak 

Spanish and German. Last year I had a

part-time job as a recepcionist in California

Hotel. I have a reference letter from the

manager in case you should need it.

 

I enclose a copy of my CV and look forward 

to hearing from you.

  • Primer párrafo: Empieza la carta con frases como estas:
  1. I am writing to you to apply for the job advertised (yesterday / last Sunday) in (Japan Times)
  2. I saw your advertisement in (today's / yesterday's) (The Times)
  3.  Después, puedes decir porque eres la persona adecuada para ese trabajo en concreto.
  • Segundo párrafo: En este párrafo hay que dar información sobre tus estudios, cualificaciones, experiencia e idiomas que hablas.
  • Tercer parrafo: En este párrafo tienes que decir que anexas tu CV  y puedes utilizar las siguientes frases formales para finalizar:
  1. I look forward to hearing from you (soon).
  2. I look forward to receiving your reply/answer.
